What a brilliant end to a very busy year. We have welcomed T and RF to The Yellow House this term and they have settled, wonderfully. T showing us how artistic she is and R taking on all comers at cards, whilst happily engaging in all of his lessons! Well done to both of you! The staff and young people have taken charity fund raising to their hearts, this term. Our MacMillan produce sale, raised £215.00 and allowed everyone to dress up in fancy dress and drew lots of support from the local community. Further fund raising efforts saw the male staff and young people join in with Movember, with varying degrees of success!
The last week of term has seen a whole school ice skating trip to Colchester’s Castle Park. It was amazing and a great time was had by all! Some of our pupils sat their “mock” G.C.S.E. examinations at the Sible site and we all enjoyed our Christmas lunch which was bought, prepared and eaten by, teams of staff and young people, at both of our sites!
When we return after Christmas, we have the prospect of further fund raising activities, the addition of another allotment plot and a half at Clare, the adventures of Spring for all of our aspiring horticulturists and the beginnings of our WWII garden, with Anderson shelter! I can’t wait!
I hope you all have a hearty Christmas and wonderful New Year!
